Airsoft News for 9-10 February 2010 from Thumpy

Thumpy is back in the chair!

Sorry for the long delay between posts here…but the Old ThumpMeister’s been a bit under the weather.  Flat out for 2 days, a little healing up to do, but ready to ‘rock the Airsoft News once again.  Thanks to everyone who’s sent along prayers and thoughts!

OK, let’s get to it!   First up, a look at what’s on the way at the World Famous SOUTH FIELD here at the Home of the Marines…Camp Lejeune/Jacksonville NC….

Jacksonville, NC/Camp Lejeune’s WORLD FAMOUS “South Field” is getting a major rebuild, starting NOW…courtesy Thumpy and Friends!

Work is getting underway to turn “South Field”, a former Paintball-only location into an AIRSOFT-ONLY CQB & Woods DESTINATION SITE, starting with some major land clearing BY HAND to set up the first of several “villages” of CQB rooms and building, bunkers and obstacles, all to be constructed and designed by the players themselves.

In fact, a major component of the “South Field” will be moveable building parts…kind of like a giant wood-block construction set…that will allow players to reconfigure parts of the structures quickly. That way, every evolution on the field will pose different challenges, firing/defense locations will change, and the action won’t grow stagnant. We’ll have more details as the construction process continues, but check out Thumpy’s Raw Airsoft Action video, to see what the BEFORE site looks like, as “South Field 3.0″ takes off!

Booligan Gets Fragged!
